In this video we take a detour to nearby Stuttgart for the Jazzopen, one of the most diverse and top-class open-air festivals in Germany.
Eleven days of production, seven days of shows – and a program ranging from fine jazz to powerful rock 'n' roll.
At the heart of the action: GLP – represented by Toto Bröcking and colleagues from development. Lighting designer Jerry Appelt and lighting operator Fabian Lahme discuss the lighting design and the use of current GLP equipment at Jazzopen. The equipment used included the impression X5 IP Maxx, JDC2 IP, the Matrix Eye 4 LED blinders, and the WildBar 16 – all weatherproof, flexible tools that demonstrated their versatility on stage.
The X5 IP Maxx impressed with brilliant color reproduction, powerful punch, and a tight beam, while the JDC2 IP, a true multi-tool, provided a diverse festival look. Matrix Eye 4s were used in the front truss, complemented by the WildBar 16 – the new robust LED tilt bar with a wide zoom range and attractive value.
The video demonstrates how sophisticated technology and creative lighting design go hand in hand: a flexible setup that caters to every style, and products that impress with their reliability, expressiveness, and versatility, even under festival conditions.
