| | ‍GLP News - December 2025 |
| Hello Visitor, December is traditionally a time when everything comes together before the year slowly winds down. For GLP, the month kicked off with a strong presence at LDI in Las Vegas – marked by great conversations, strong interest in our solutions and plenty of positive feedback from across the international industry. In this newsletter, we also take a look at a new Lighting Legends video featuring lighting designer Mike Berger, who talks about his work on the ACM Awards. Once again, this edition highlights how versatile and impactful GLP fixtures can be—ranging from major country music stages and large-scale touring productions to the renowned stages of London’s West End. To round off the year, we would also like to send you a personal message from all of us at GLP. Enjoy reading, The GLP Family | |

LDI - Las Vegas 2025 | | | Taking place in early December, LDI Las Vegas 2025 provided a strong year-end highlight for GLP. The show opened with our most impressive fixture showcase to date: JDC Maxx. Developed exclusively for LDI, this installation combined 42 JDC2 IP and 16 JDC Burst 1 into the largest strobe setup we have ever realized, once again underscoring GLP’s commitment to challenging conventions in entertainment lighting. At the heart of the presentation was the JDC2 Grandmaster Training, where over 40 participants successfully completed the session and can now officially call themselves JDC2 Grandmasters. Surrounding this centerpiece, our booth showcased the diversity of the GLP portfolio—from the compact new X5 Dot to the MATRIX Eye series, Wild Bar 16, Creos with the new E-Frost filter, S500, and the Nexus Lights brand. LDI once again provided the space for inspiring conversations, intensive networking, and new connections—making it a successful and fitting conclusion to the year for the entire GLP team.

He shares insights into his design process—from initial concepts to execution on show day—and explains how lighting shapes emotion, storytelling, and impact on a large broadcast stage. Using selected performances as examples, he discusses the targeted use of fixtures such as the X5 Compact, JDC2, JDC Line, and FORCE 120, while also sharing valuable experience and advice for the next generation of lighting designers.
| | Maximum Impact For Ice Cube’s “4 Decades of Attitude” | | | Eight GLP MAD MAXX fixtures delivered monumental searchlight-style air effects on Ice Cube’s “Truth to Power: 4 Decades of Attitude” tour. Flown in the rig and used as a central design element, the LED fat beams added extra weight, scale and visual depth to the show. Find out how Justin Volpe and Harrison Coons used the MAD MAXX as a storytelling tool – from iconic beam looks to pixel-mapped statements. | | | |
| | From Bridge Theatre to the West End | | | With the impression X5 Series, GLP has struck a chord in London’s theatre scene. Renowned rental company Sparks Theatrical Hire is seeing rapidly growing demand for X5 washlights – from acclaimed productions at the Bridge Theatre to an increasing number of West End shows. Why nuances, pastel tones and smooth dimming matter so much to theatre lighting designers – and why the X5 is clearly on an upward trajectory – is explored in one of our latest stories. | | |
